This is almost always due to an incorrect 'Article Wrapper' setting. While eToC v2.0 includes a smart auto-discovery engine, some custom themes require you to manually enter the content CSS selector in the Advanced Settings. Contact our support if you need help finding this!

This happens if you have empty heading tags in your article. You can remove the empty tags from your Shopify editor or enable the 'Hide Empty Headings' setting in the eToC dashboard for better SEO and TOC accuracy. Note: Enabling this setting will also hide any child (sub-headings) that belong to that empty parent.

Ensure the parent heading level is included in the selected heading levels in the settings. Subheadings only appear if their parent heading level is enabled.

If the Floated TOC doesn't fit your theme's layout or causes overlaps, we recommend choosing the 'Sliding Drawer' mode. It is highly mobile-friendly and ensures the TOC is always accessible without blocking your content. Even if you prefer a Floated TOC on desktop, you can still choose the Drawer for your mobile settings to ensure a perfect experience on all devices.

eToC v2.0 automatically injects JSON-LD schema into your pages. This helps Google understand your content structure and significantly increases the chances of your articles showing 'Jump Links' directly in search results.

Yes! We now support multiple content containers. You can enter comma-separated selectors (e.g., .section-one, .section-two) in the Article Wrapper setting to combine content from different builder sections into one TOC.

Yes! v2.0 now fully supports both Shopify Blog Articles and Static Pages. We are working on expanding support to Collections in an upcoming update.

We have completely removed jQuery. The v2.0 engine is built with Pure Vanilla JavaScript (ES6), which means smaller bundle sizes, faster load times, and zero conflicts with other apps.
